ageless beauty99

The use of anti-aging skin care products continues to rise each year; there is nothing wrong with wanting to continue looking young as you get older, in fact it is quite a healthy aim. This group of beauty products generally works by enabling the synthesis of collagen, the main protein of connective tissue in animals and the most abundant in our body; approximately one quarter of the protein contained in skin is collagen. Collagen is related to other natural substances which help to slow down the ageing process; we call them antioxidants, they aid the repair of cell damage associated with cell damage.

Vitamin C is probably one of the better known anti-oxidants in use today but the debate about the daily quota required is ongoing. The problem with vitamin C derived skin care treatments is they can become oxidized when exposed to the atmosphere, often even before they are used.

To overcome this problem, manufacturers use alternative skin care treatments that still provide the same benefits but not the high manufacturing costs. These alternative products are not as effective as vitamin C but vitamin E and lipoic acid are anti-oxidants and are now being used.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant and component of human blood whose purpose is to help increase the body’s immune system; it helps build resistance against infection like cancer for example. On the other hand, lipoic acid or alpha-lipoic acid is necessary for energy production which keeps us alive; it is also known to combat the signs of aging very effectively by repairing skin damage caused by the aging process.

Other compounds called phytochemicals have proved to be beneficial in the formulation of anti-ageing skin care products; they are removed from various plants. Phytochemicals prevent occurrence of certain types of cancer; for example:

*Cancer of the Prostate
*Breast Cancer
*Cancer of the Bowel

These types of cancer are also becoming some of the most prevalent worldwide.

For some time now it has also been known that the vitamins B5, B6 and B12 also have anti-ageing skin care properties. This just goes to highlight just how complex and far reaching the whole field of anti-ageing skin care products is and why so much more research is required. Whilst a great deal has been learned about this subject, it is only the tip of the iceberg; more long term effective methods will eventually be found to reverse or slow down the effects of aging.

In time it is hoped that less expensive and more reliable anti-ageing skin care products will become available for a larger number of people to use. However, man-made skin care regimes should be used only as a supplement; fortunately there is a number of natural anti-aging regimes that can be carried out that do not rely on science. Drinking plenty of water, getting a good night’s sleep, exercising regularly, maintaining healthy eating habits and keeping stress at low are an essential means of delaying the aging process.

Make sure you eat a lot of food that have high Orac score, you need to have 7,000 Orac to generate healthy cells.

Some of us may know the tips well but fail to practice in our routine. Here are some beauty tips for us to weave naturally into our schedule to maintain youth and beauty for as long as we wish.

Step 1: Drink lots of water, this is basic but not many of us are really drinking enough everyday. Drinking at least eight glasses a day. Juice is considered as one of the eight glasses if you are on juicing. Water cleanses your body, it’s great for your skin and you stlay more energetic.

Step 2: Nurture the habit of juicing. Juicing is great; the nutrients are absorbed into your system easier and faster. You can have a variety of vegetables and fruits for well-balanced nutrition in your juice which almost gives you instant energy. You should juice twice a day, once in the morning as your first drink of the day before breakfast and once in the evening before dinner.

Step 3: Most of us are very stressed out in the course of our work. Make attempt to be around with nature when you are stressed. Take a walk in the nearest park or even jog around for 30 minutes after your busy day. An animal or pet at home to play with helps to release your stress.

Steps 4: Running a salt bath or having a salt scrub will do wonder for your stress. It is believed salt has properties that can disintegrate negativity. That explains why people spend a day at the beach feel so relaxed after being in salt water. If you can’t go to the beach and you don’t have a bathtub, just try soaking your feet in salt to drain away tensions and negative energy.

Step 5: If you wake up in a bad mood, it can impact you for the rest of the day. It is important when you first open your eyes in the morning and tell yourself you are going to have a good day. Starting your day with a positive happy thought can help put you in a good relaxed space from the moment you get up.

Step 6: Unwind yourself occasionally at home with a home hair treatment, mask and light candles round a bath. Soak yourself in the bathtub with your favorite spa.

Step 7: No matter how late you get back home from work or outing, always cleanse and remove your make-up. Your skin and face need to breathe too. Cleaning your face and body is the most basic of all skin care.

Step 8: If you find difficulties waking up in the morning, use a battery-operated eye massager on your eyes for a few minutes, it helps blood circulation and helps to look good on your eyes.

Step 9: Make effort to have a steam sauna once a week for a full body detoxification.

Step 10: Be consistent with the use of your skin care product: Cleanse, Tone, Nourish and Protect

Beauty Basic Tips

Despite the media coverage of makeover reality shows, the majority of Americans are not looking for extreme transformations. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, most of us want to look better, naturally, with 68-percent preferring a subtle change. And experts agree that looking your best could be accomplished at home for considerably less.

Dr. Linda Franks, a leader in the specialized skin care frontier, says “To get that timeless, healthy look you need to start with an appropriate skincare regime. Taking good care of your skin can stave off fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and even dry skin.”

Doctors say whatever your skin type, the key is to cleanse it gently. oAvoid hot water and use lukewarm instead, to prevent over-drying. oAnd throw in the towel – traditional washcloths are too abrasive for the face, so use your hands and fingers.

Sixty-eight-percent of women claim to have sensitive skin which means dry, tight, chapped or easily irritated skin. oMoisturize regularly. oAvoid harsh cleansers with ingredients such as fragrances, dyes and preservatives because sensitive skin is easily damaged and takes longer to recover.

If your skin is dry and easily irritated, don’t wash more than once a day. You may risk stripping the skin of its natural oils. oLook for non-irritating cleansing washes that are soap-free. oUse light, oil-free, water-based moisturizers to help maintain the skin’s natural barrier. oMake sure to choose a facial moisturizer with an SPF of at least 15, which protects against both UVB and UVA rays.

Skin sensitivity may also result from the third most common, non-surgical skincare procedure known as Microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is a quick and easy, non-invasive procedure that helps to reveal healthier-looking skin by sweeping away dead skin cells. oDr. Franks reveals that, following the treatment, the best way to avoid irritation is by opting for an ultra-gentle cleanser and moisturizer. oA new clinical study shows that PURPOSE gentle cleansing wash and dual treatment moisture lotion with spf 15 are compatible with this procedure.

How else can you obtain optimal skin health? Dr. Franks says, “Exercise opens up blood vessels to make skin look healthy and youthful. It’s so important for healthy skin.” oRegular cardiovascular exercise increases blood flow to the skin which assists in collagen production. oMaintaining muscle mass through exercise can also help anchor and support skin, keeping it taut. oAnd drink up! At least eight, eight-ounce glasses of water a day are crucial for optimal skin hydration.

So before you sign on for an extreme and expensive makeover, just think back on some simple, beauty basics! You just might like what you see!
